Bobby's Lumberjack Cocktail

I'm just so excited to have a vegan-friendly Bobby Flay clip that I will take it in cocktail format. The ingredients he uses together are as interesting as his fancy cocktail shaker. (VERY).
With gratitude to Bobby Flay, Cooking Channel, Scripps and that flannel shirt for sharing this lesson in brunch.

Martha & Jim's Carrot Bread

Don't you love cooking segments out of context? The haunting gothic music playing at the beginning! Love.

Learn how easy it is to make fancy Artisanal bread (apparently you can mix very aggressively) and if Martha tearing open a fresh loaf doesn't make you want to get your hands full of bread too, nothing will!

A sincere thank you to Martha Stewart for sharing Master Baker Jim Lahey on her show. Pure food tv joy.

Giada's Couscous Cups

Finally, a use for your mini muffin tin and that accidentally vegan frozen pie crust you saw at the store! (Most of them really are vegan - just read ingredients first).
Plus! Almonds. Fruit. Herbs: All will score high with the vegetarians at your party.
A huge thank you to Giada & Food Network for this pretty lil vegan appetizer.

Trisha's Ambrosia

This may be a Southern show, but there's something about a bowl of shredded apples that screams Passover... here is a Dairy free, Gluten free, Egg free, Nut free, Allergy sensitive dessert straight from the South. Betty Maxwell was so ahead of her time, no wonder Trisha's Dad dug it. Man's got good taste.
Thanks to Food Network, BJ Flanagan & Scripps for bringing us a quick, tropical southern treat everyone can eat. Unless you don't like fruit. Then we can't help you.

Continental Orange Chocolate Bar

Remember that one sherbet-like, orange-nougat filled guy in a box of assorted chocolates?
This is that. Except the outside is hard and firm and snaps when you bite into it. It's flippin delicious, cost about 50 cents, and was just hangin at the checkout like it's no big deal.
Big Lots!, you are a very big deal. please don't leave us. Love, Canada.
